Update

The unusually high number of absent students, my recent absences, along with the significance of the portion of the curriculum in which we are now engaged, has caused me to reconsider my original plans for this week.

Students in Advanced and Comprehensive classes should be read completely through Chapter 12, Section 2, pages 522-531 in the text, and have completed the corresponding workbook pages 284-287.

Students in the Core class have no homework tonight.

Open Ended Questions!

Today, Mrs. Kazdan, our Reading Specialist, spent her day in Gold Team Social Studies classes teaching strategies for answering Open Ended Questions like those our students will encounter on the CMT in March. To the right we see Mrs. Kazdan modeling "highlighting" of text.

A correction and more homework....

Thanks to Bea for calling attention to the faux pas on homework assignment for the weekend. The workbook pages were supposed to be 219-224 (as is now written), not 419-424, as had been originally written.

Now, tonight's homework, due Wednesday:

Read Chapter 12, section 2, pages 416-422, and complete 225-229 in the workbook.
