Snow Day!

The first snow day will not further delay your taking of the test on Chapter 13. The test will be tomorrow.

The Period 3 test will be administered on Monday.

Essay Questions!!!

You will be required to answer one of the following two essay questions on the test tomorrow:

1. Describe the history and functions of medieval merchant and craft guilds.


2. Describe three ways Europe benefited from the Crusades.

You may not come into class with anything prepared, but you certainly should prepare answers to these questions.

Week of December 10, 2007: Practice Test Included!

This should be a good week!

On Monday and into part of Tuesday all classes will watch a video on the Black Death, which killed a third of Europe in the 1340s. Tuesday's homework will be to write a five sentence summary of the video. Our students, I have found, could use some practice in being concise, and hopefully this will help them in the endeavor.

Wednesday we will review for a Test on Chapter 13 in the Advanced and Comprehensive classes.

Wednesday night's homework for all classes is to study for their respective tests.

Advanced and Comprehensive classes will have their tests on Thursday.

Core will have their test on Chapter 26 Friday!

Tuesday and the rest of the Week

Today (Tuesday) we will complete the note-taking that you may have started Monday. In that regard, you have a handout in front of you, and you can access the notes on power point here. Complete your handout, that is today's objective. Once you finish this you can complete the Guided Reading for section 2.

Period 3 today: You can read section 2 of Chapter 25 and complete the questions at the end of the chapter.
